Benefits of using Pinterest for creators

Reuse of TikTok videos into idea pins

With Pinterest, you can repurpose your TikTok videos into idea pins. You can also use these videos as inspiration for future ideas.

If you want to add more content to your account, it's important that you keep in mind that Pinterest is a search engine. So if someone searches "art supplies," they will find information about art supplies on Pinterest.

Pinterest is great for SEO because it's a visual search engine and people are more likely to click on something if they see it visually than if they only read text or hear an audio file (even though audio files do well on other platforms). This means that when people visit your profile page or board page with TikTok videos embedded in them, they'll be more likely to stay there longer than if there was just text-based information about the same topic!

Creator found

Pinterest is a great way to find new people.

It's especially helpful for creators who have been working for a while, but haven't quite found their "target audience" yet.

If you're still uncertain about who your target audience is, Pinterest can help narrow down that search by helping you get in front of the right people.

Affiliate link in pins

Affiliate links can be a good way to monetize your pins. Affiliate links allow you to make money from people who click on the link, purchase something and then leave a review. Affiliate links are great because they give you another way of making money from your website and there are many options for different types of products.

Although it is possible for creators to use affiliate links in their Pinterest bios, it's best not to do so if you want to stay within the FTC guidelines for influencer marketing. In general, it's preferable that creators only post affiliate links within their pin descriptions rather than their bios or anywhere else on Pinterest (such as in their profile).

Pinterest ads are cheap

Pinterest ads are still affordable for small businesses. In fact, they're even cheaper than Facebook and Instagram ads! If you’re just starting out and have a small budget, Pinterest can help you build a brand and following with very little investment.

Pinterest ads are good for building an email list. When people sign up to your email list through Pinterest, they're giving you permission to contact them again in the future—which makes it easy to sell more products down the line by sending out more emails.

Pinterest ads are great for making sales because they bring users directly into your store page (instead of redirecting them) so that they can purchase something immediately without having to leave the platform or take another step outside the app/site

Brand new audience

If you’re a creator, Pinterest is like the online equivalent of being asked to do a guest spot on Oprah. It’s a platform that’s almost entirely different from TikTok, and it can be an incredible opportunity for creators:

  • Pinterest has a very different audience than TikTok. While both are social media platforms for video content, the audience demographics are wildly different: 80% of Pinterest users are women (compared to only 4% who are male), whereas most users on TikTok are younger men in their teens and twenties. In other words, if your goal is to reach new audiences outside of YouTube or Instagram—and especially if you want women as part of your fanbase—Pinterest could be your ticket.

  • On top of this, because people tend not to spend money on products until they feel secure with them first (i.e., they know who makes them), Pinterest has higher conversion rates than any other platform out there—even Amazon! So if you want people who will actually buy what they see online through your content without hesitation, this might be perfect.

People go to Pinterest to shop and spend money

People go to Pinterest for a reason—they want to shop or, at the very least, find something that inspires them. And unlike other social media platforms where users may not be ready to make an immediate purchase, people who follow you on Pinterest are more likely to take action because they're ready to spend money.

According to research by HubSpot and Fractl, if someone pins your marketing content on their boards and tags it as an “idea” or “inspiration” then they will be 2x more likely than average consumers (and 4x more likely than non-pinteresters) to buy from you in your niche within three months .

In addition, this same study showed that even after six months of following you on Pinterest users were still 2x more likely than average consumers (and 7x more likely than non-pinteresters) to buy from you in your niche!

Pinterest is a powerful tool for creators to leverage

Pinterest is a powerful tool for creators to leverage in their social media marketing strategy. With over 320 million active users, Pinterest has a high user retention rate and the average user spends more than 20 minutes on the site every day.

  • Pinterest users are more likely to buy: 85% of Pinners have made a purchase as a direct result of engaging with Pinterest content!

  • Pinterest is a search engine - it’s just one that people use visually instead of textually, so it can provide deeper insights into your audience research and drive traffic you wouldn’t normally get from other sources.

  • Users are more likely to share content: according to an eMarketer report from 2016, 81% of users surveyed said they had shared something on the site within the past month!
