Target your audience.
In order to increase your social media presence, you need to know who you are trying to target. Your audience is comprised of several different types of people.
Who is your target market?
What is your niche?
What are the goals of your business? How much money do you want to make?
The first step in successful SMM is understanding who your audience is and what they want from you as a brand before moving forward with any kind of marketing strategy.
Select the best platform.
Choosing the right social media platform is crucial to your success as a personal trainer. There are so many platforms out there and each one has its own unique audience. Facebook is still a popular choice for reaching customers but Instagram and Twitter are growing quickly in popularity. You can also choose to use multiple platforms at once if you want to reach people who aren't on Facebook or Instagram (like LinkedIn).
When deciding which platforms work best for your business, think about these things:
Are you targeting young adults or older adults? Are most of them in their 30s or 40s? This will help determine whether Facebook or Instagram would be better suited for your audience demographic.
Do you want an intimate connection with clients where they know all about what you're doing in real time, like what kind of food you eat when nobody else is around? Then maybe Twitter is better than other platforms since it allows users more freedom to share details about themselves without being censored by algorithms that prevent certain words from appearing on posts without warning ahead of time (for example, if someone tweets something negative about another person's business practices). On the other hand, if privacy isn't an issue then consider using either Facebook Messenger or Snapchat instead because these apps offer instant gratification with little effort required on behalf of users since everything happens through direct messages rather than public posts shared between friends/followers/etcetera
Connect with influencers.
Use their content to promote your business.
Comment and share their posts.
Approach them as a resource for learning from and interacting with, rather than an opportunity to promote yourself (even though you should do that too).
Ask them to share your content as well, whether it's on social media or in their newsletters -- or both!
Grow your audience by engaging with them.
To achieve a successful social media marketing strategy, you need to grow your audience. The best way to do this is by engaging with them and responding to comments and questions. You can also ask for feedback from potential customers on what they would like you to do on social media or for them as clients.
In addition, use hashtags in posts that are associated with fitness or health-related topics such as #workoutmotivation or #exerciseband. This will allow others who are interested in similar topics to find you more easily by simply doing a search on those hashtags.
Emojis can help enhance the message of your post! For example, if you want someone else's attention then just add an emoji with eyes looking at you (👀). Or if something funny happened during training then throw in some smiley faces 😂😅
Post a tip of a day.
This is a great way to share your knowledge with your audience while also keeping them engaged and looking forward to more posts from you in the future. It’s a win-win situation!
One thing to keep in mind when posting a tip of the day is that it should be relevant to your audience, useful for them, and/or interesting for them.
Post before and after pictures.
One of the most effective ways to market yourself is by posting before and after pictures. You can also post pictures of your clients if you like, but it’s generally considered a good idea to have some pictures on your own profile—these will show that you are actually an active trainer and not just someone who has been hired for their good looks or celebrity status. As you post these photos, make sure they are tagged with keywords relevant to your business (for example #personaltrainer#fitnessmodel#gymrat). This will help people find them when they search for those terms on social media.
While there are many different types of content that can be useful on social media—including videos or links to blog posts—photos are especially powerful because they are so easy for people to consume on their mobile devices while they’re waiting in line at the grocery store or riding public transportation between appointments. In addition, it’s very difficult for potential clients to “like” or comment on text-based posts; however, with visual content such as photos and videos, there is more room for interaction through likes and comments from both your existing client base as well as new followers who may not even know about you yet!
Use relevant hashtags.
There are a few things to keep in mind when using hashtags:
Use relevant hashtags. You should only use relevant hashtags that are related to the content you're posting, and not just popular ones. For example, if you post an image of yourself doing a workout with the hashtag #fitfam, it's unlikely that anyone would search for this hashtag or click on your photo because they don't have any interest in fitness or working out (even though they may still be interested in fitness).
Use popular hashtags but also specific niche-relevant ones as well - this will help increase engagement. For example, if you're a personal trainer and want more clients from the local area then try using local park names like Kensington Gardens rather than just #londonparks as people would be less likely to search for these parks specifically unless they lived nearby which means less engagement!
Provide quality information
Social media can be a great tool for strengthening your personal trainer brand. You just need to make sure that you’re using the right tools and doing it in a way that is useful and helpful to your audience. This means providing content that is relevant, valuable, and engaging. If you do this consistently, then you will be able to grow an audience online who will love what you have to say!
